Description

Village Voice's Description

This spin-off of locavore fave Jimmy's is as bare-bones as a restaurant can get; a room, open to Dominick Street in fine weather, located off the lobby of an Off-Broadway theater, with few bar stools and fewer tables. You'll feel like you're on a boulevard of some foreign capital. The food is minimalist, too: a handful of salads (try the one with watermelon and ricotta salata), a scattering of topped toasts (try the oddball one of pickled squid rings and spicy Calabrian sausage), and small plates of olives, veggies, cheeses, and charcuterie. Much of it is tasty, but how does one put a meal together? BYOB for now, but call ahead.
