Description

New Spring Garden is a massive entertainment hall that's slightly over the border in Dyker Heights. The southern menu highlights such pricey Cantonese standards as shark-fin soup, abalone, and sea cucumber at appropriately high prices, but the pristine dim sum—which comes rolling by on carts seven days a week till about 2 p.m.—is cheapness itself. Thrill to perfect steamed pork bao, black bean spareribs, shrimp har gow, and, best of all, ja leung—a cruller wrapped inside a rice noodle squirted with dark, salty sauce.
