Neumos on Capitol Hill is one of Seattle's hippest music venues, and unfortunately, the people who work there know it. They've got a talented booking staff with excellent, eclectic taste, but if you feel the cold shoulder, just brush it off and try to enjoy yourself anyway, because if you listen to indie rock or hip hop, the place is impossible to avoid. And there are plus sides: the bartenders may not be the friendliest bunch, but they pour a strong drink. The room may be one giant rectangle, but the sound is usually very good.
Event Review: Beat Connection
Beat Connection is one of Seattle's own little gems made up of crisp chimes and tropical beats. They bring a sunny vibe to an otherwise rainy place. This is also the most generic sounding reviews ever, but really, they're one of my favorite local bands to see live. ^_^
I love seeing shows here; it's such a great venue on Cap Hill.
Come check out Sportn' Life Records (D.Black, Spaceman, Fatal Lucciauno) @ Capital Hill Block Party - Neumos Stage - July 25th, 2009 @ 10:30pm!
