If you thought getting a Colorado driver's license was tough, try taking a tour of the Earth System Research Laboratory at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Boulder. Visitors must call ahead to get their name on the list for the hour-long tours each Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Upon arriving, visitors must obtain a visitor badge, which may be obtained by presenting a U.S. ID card or foreign passport, followed by an individual screening as per the requirements of the Department of Homeland Security.
