It seems counterintuitive to have a family-run restaurant with all the chic trappings of urban cool, yet here it is. Nami opened in 2002 in an elegantly renovated warehouse with a Japanese sushi chef lured from Los Angeles, a thumping sound system, and an enormous bar full of beautiful people. And yet it seems like there's always a member of the Choi family somewhere on the scene. The sushi is as good as any in town, but the restaurant really distinguishes itself with budget pricing, an amazing piece of "butterfish" (miso-marinated black cod), and ambiance that's chic and airy enough to support fancy dates, business lunches, and martini-soaked birthday parties.

Incredible Sushi.
Located on the edge of the warehouse district, this stylish and reasonably priced restaurant is the perfect way to start your evening.
this is my favorite sushi restaurant, make sure you order the kinta rolls, (might not even be on the menu anymore) its a secret roll as far as i am concerned. the kinta is a spicy sauce, wow they are amazing!
Not long ago Nami celebrated its one-year anniversary, and already this mere babe on the local scene has toddled to the top of the heap. Why? The elegant, soaring warehouse space that feels more Miami than Minnesota, the throbbing late-night bar that feels more Milan than Minnesota, and, of course, the low, low prices that feel more Minnesota than we ever could have hoped for.
