My Market is an unassuming corner store that looks like an ordinary bodega. But go inside and you find shoulder-to-shoulder crowds of construction workers, business folk, and pretty much everyone else who could squeeze in. They all know that the deli-style, made-to-order sandwiches are concocted out of Boar's Head meats and cheeses and whatever homemade sauces and extras My Market feels like throwing in. Craving something exotic? Bite into the French Quarter, a French bread-based hot sub made of Brie, roast beef, "Want Mo!" sauce, and fresh rosemary. Heading to the beach? Grab a La Baja - fresh cracked peppermill turkey and jalapeƱo pepper cheese slathered with Russian dressing and pressed flat and hot. Any size and variety of chip and dip is at your beck and call, along with every fathomable type of juice, soda, and iced tea.
Superbowl: it's probably more American than apple pie. And a bigger celebration than even the 4th of July. One of the few occasions in which it is abnormal to remain sober by 5 o'clock. That being sai... More »

Despite that it's a modest shop in a market with sandwiches made from old reliable Boar's Head, My Market lures me in with delicious sandwiches and local characters. For the past couple of w... More »
Where, oh where, is this ultra-busy lunch counter, where delicious hot and cold sandwiches are manufactured under the watchful eye of an animal head mounted on the wall? Hint: It is in Broward C... More »
When people spend too long in South Florida, they get sandwich spoiled. They have no idea how sandwich rich this region is, how good most of the little delis really are. The crowds that pack into the back of this unassuming corner store are never ungrateful, though. The sandwiches are just too good, too loaded with delicious cheeses and meats, piled too high with veggies and sauces. Get the Sicilian sub Rosa: a thick stack of prosciutto, mortadella, capicola, and provolone, topped with fresh... More »
If aliens invade our planet tomorrow, the odds of our having anything they haven't already thought of are slim-to-none. Our one saving grace, ace in the hole, and lone olive branch to extend might be the sandwich. Because, when properly executed, the perfect sandwich represents centuries of architectural design, layered with worldwide gourmet influences, all served with two handy slices of bread so your fingers don't get sticky. Yes, it might be our greatest invention to date. And with all... More »
Have you ever eaten a sandwich from a convenience store? They're fucking horrible. They're soggy. They're stale. That's certainly not egg salad, my friend. My Market is different. You've probably driven by it before. You might have stopped there to get tampons or perhaps a Slushy or a Powerbar. But have you even bothered to walk to the back of My Market? Because if you had, you would have noticed a full freakin' deli that's been there for the past 12 years and serves the best and biggest... More »
