Museum of Transportation

• Hours: From the day after Labor Day through April 30: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tue.-Sat.; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sun. (only open on holiday Mondays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Columbus Day and Veterans' Day; the museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). From May 1 through Labor Day: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Wed., Fri. & Sat.; 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thu.; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sun.

Description

The Museum of Transportation is a mostly outdoor facility, with two large train sheds that cover portions of the track area. Easy-to-read signs throughout the museum provide interesting facts about the planes, trains, automobiles and boats.
