The sign outside this modest Inner Richmond restaurant says Korean B.B.Q. Restaurant, but in addition to the expected simple grilled meats such as galbi and bulgogi, Muguboka offers a lengthy menu of soups, stews, and handmade noodles. Interesting offerings include black goat stew, sauteed octopus, and a delicious seafood and green onion pancake that is often brought to the table as a gift. The banchan (small dishes including kimchi, pickled vegetables, and other tasty bites) that comes with all meals features unusual items such as smooth-textured Korean sausage and lightly cooked julienned potato.
