This punningly named Japanese restaurant ("mutsu" means bluefish) excels at sushi, as you can tell by the long arc of the sushi bar dominating the minimalist space. The generous California roll might be the best in town, luxuriantly smothered in flying-fish roe. Other interesting short dishes included nuggets of tempura-fried filet mignon, miso soup dotted with cockles, and king crab legs propped among seaweed, daikon, and cucumbers in a light vinaigrette. The short list of entrees contains unexpected selections (chicken stuffed with mozzarella), but you can easily make a meal of non-entrees.
