Description

If you're seeking a design buzz along with your caffeine fix, this minimalist vision of concrete, stainless steel, and buttery wood is just the place to refuel. But the Vespa-accented looks of this wi-fi coffeehouse take a backseat, so to speak, to its expertly pulled shots, courtesy of Caffe Vita. The crema on the double americano is the shade of a new penny; beneath it is some of the smoothest espresso ever, creamy and not even slightly bitter. For a treat, try Ghirardelli hot chocolate frosted with a chapeau of whipped cream. There's also enticing morning nosh, including scones, Danishes, and spinach-feta croissants.

Owner D.J. Norman went all out when engineering the look of Motore Coffee to sync with the Italian scooter theme implied in the name, going so far as to convince Ducati of Seattle to loan him some Vespas to place in the shop for customers to sit on while they wait for their lattes.
