Description

Mooncake demonstrates what the Greek diner would have been like if it had been invented in Asia. Hero sandwiches are replaced by Vietnamese banh mi (often with Western twists like dill mayo); chef's salads have become a series of Thai yums, sporting a choice of main ingredients; and Chinese peasant classics like Shanghai wonton soup and sticky rice with sausage are presented unaltered. Full dinners are available at reasonable prices, keeping this jewel of a spot—located on ultra-obscure Watts Street—well within the price range of the traditional diner.
