Description

A fun, fashionable, fantastic Greek boîte tucked away along the western fringe of U. City, Momos offers much in the way of Greek classics (dolmades, kebabs, gyros, orzo and ouzo) and even more in the way of nouveau-Grecian fare (lima-bean salad, baked phyllo with a heavenly chocolate sauce). The food is chic yet earthy, and extremely well executed all around. Momos also boasts a truly eclectic, hand-picked wine list worth exploring, plus a house concoction that's half-sangria, half-mead and wholly delicious. A great addition to the city's restaurant scene.

  • 2012 | Best Greek Restaurant

For those who delight in the many wonders of Mediterranean cuisine, Momos Ouzaria Taverna is a delight of many wonders, from its well-thought-out menu to its colorful décor and warm ambiance. Or do what we do and take... More »

  • 2009 | Best Greek Restaurant

In Greek mythology, Momos is the god of mockery, which essentially means he was the loudmouth jerk of Mount Olympus. After subjecting several of his brethren and sistren to his ridicule, he made the mistake of aiming his mockery at Zeus and got himself kicked off. So it might seem risky to name a restaurant after a guy who, if he were real, would be the fella nobody would ever invite to dinner. But that's what the owners of Momos did, and we applaud them for it. St. Louisans are lucky to... More »

  • 2005 | Best Greek Restaurant

Just when this corner-eatery storefront off the beaten path of Delmar Boulevard looked like it was consigned to life as a cursed restaurant space, along came Momos. Just when the fuss over fusion-tapas was reaching a fever pitch -- and at the same time, feeling woefully played out at dying-to-be-trendy restaurants all across St. Louis -- along came Momos. Opened this past winter by BARcelona alumni Mark Lucas, Mike Johnson and Maziar Nooran (along with former Tangerine bar guru Matt... More »
