Description

One of North Beach's more venerable saloons is all weathered wood and darkling atmo accented with bold, colorful paintings and the thrum of live music (a near-nightly occurrence). Salsa, jazz, bluegrass, funk, rockabilly, and reggae keep the dance floor packed, and every Saturday night live flamenco takes over the tiny stage. A brief Latin menu of grilled plantains, black beans and rice, and lusty steak, pork, chicken, or fish tacos go nicely with the mint-laced cocktail of the title. (The tacos are only a buck apiece during happy hour.)
