Owners Mobi Siddiqui and Asim Malik set out to create a Southeast Asian restaurant the likes of which Houston had never previously seen when they opened The Moghul's. The ultra-chic restaurant and attached M Lounge (which is open until 2 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays) serve Desi food with a twist - you'll find distinctly Afghani and even some more East Asian dishes on the menu. The name is the key: The Moghuls ruled Central Asia for hundreds of years. Siddiqui and Malik highlight foods from this entire region, not just In-dia. The result is dishes like Gobi Munchurian next to naans and raitas of all descriptions, a feast for the senses.
