Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, the mariachis return to, well, Capistrano. The mission’s historic courtyard hosts the annual musical smack down called, provocatively, the Battle of the Mariachis. Dressed in embroidered, braided and silv... More »

This place is so beautiful. Every aspect of nature's evolution is visible throughout the mission. Whether it be the ruins of the old church to all the thousands of different types of flowers. It's a little island of peace in the middle of a quaint little town.

Cool place to walk around during the summer. It has a lot of history, but you can do it in just a small amount of time. Good to take kids or out of towners if you're already walking around San Juan Capistrano. It's outdoor and the gardens are pretty so it makes a good stop in the area.
