Wabasha Street Caves
St. Paul, MN 55107
Tips from foursquare
The caves, which technically are mines because they are man-made, are carved out of sandstone and date back to the 1840s. In the 1920s, the caves were used as a restaurant and nightclub.
Swing dancing here to some great bands (the kind with 15 or 20 musicians) on Thursday nights for $7. They have free lessons beforehand, too.
Take the St. Paul Gangster Tour
Look at and ask about the mysterious bullet holes on the fireplace in the back room
Must do! Take the Cave Tour and the Gangster Bus Tour! You will not be disappointed.
