City Pages' Description

Kingfield could use more restaurants like La Chaya, classy-but-relaxed neighborhood spots to go for appetizers and wine, pizzas and pastas, or Sunday brunch. La Chaya has the dual menu of a Mexican chef who spend several years in the Mediterranean-you might find halibut with pumpkin seed sauce and poblano peppers alongside house-made cannelloni. There's even one hybrid dish, the Mexican pizza, which sounds weird at first, but isn't that different from an open-face burrito.

The scallops here are incredible. The perfect fusion of flavor and they melt in your mouth. HIGHLY recommend trying them!

Try the chicken soup and fish tacos. No chips and salas, but the bread and caramelized onion butter was great!

This is the best place for a date night in Mpls! Excellent food, top notch service, and incredible ambiance.
