Indian Mounds Park
St. Paul, MN 55106
City Pages' Description
Believed to have been a memorial site for local Hopewell American Indians, it offers a spectacular view of the river below and the St. Paul municipal airport. Playgrounds, picnic area, ball fields, 1.5 miles of hiking trails and a nearby fish hatchery.
Tips from foursquare
Find the urban beach on the cliff face, made of sandstone. Bring a cool drink, towel and watch the planes go by. Summer only!
Watch out for the old men fooling around in the woods
Check out the old Indian burial mounds
Not that nice of a view. Unless you're into rail yards and small city airports.
