Description

City Pages' Description

With reasonably priced pastas and antipasto plates to share, First Course is the kind of neighborhood restaurant you could raise a family in. Pasta dishes are well-turned-out and flavorful, and the solid little wine-and-beer list is nice to have in your corner, but perhaps the biggest draw here is that the First Course is virtually the only neighborhood restaurant in that cozy Tudor world south of the crick and east of Diamond Lake.

Tips from foursquare

  • City Pages on 02/20/13

First Course is a great spot for date night, we suggest the fried olives stuffed with blue cheese or the sheep's-milk cheese covered with raisin-curry chutney from their eclectic menu.

    Live music on weekend evenings!

  • Metromix on 10/20/10

Owner Travis Metzger challenges diners to wild game fare. Get a "meat and potatoes" meal w/ kangaroo loin, ostrich or rabbit.
