Description

City Pages' Description

This bright and airy breakfast joint has been there on the morning after for over 20 years. This is the go-to place for breakfast in Uptown. We love the Kamikaze items--yogurt or pancakes with blueberries, bananas, and nuts. The skillet breakfasts rock, too, especially the No. 2 with mixed veggies, American fries, and lots of melted cheddar. If you're rolling a bit late, you can also order lunch--fine burgers, sandwiches, and salads, with 10-minute lunch specials for those on the run. Patio seating also available.

The picture here is actually the University location. Ethier is good. Uptown location is more hipster, University is larger. Both have an quick, awesome breakfast.

Get the skillet #1 -- you will not leave hungry!

Kamikaze multi grain cakes are awesome. Also try the turkey and wild rice omelette... So good, but so much food!

  • Daniel L. on 01/20/13

Greasy spoon goodness! Although, not as good as it used to be and the service is horrid!
