Description

City Pages' Description

Naked, nude, and bare as the day they were born, ladies and gents, come in and see them in all their bright and throbbing purity: They're your vegetables! Well, technically not entirely naked, since there are a few vinaigrettes and sauces made of other raw vegetables, but basically, Ecopolitan is a land of raw foods. Think "spaghetti" made of shredded zucchini, a "living" pizza crust made of sprouted and dehydrated buckwheat, and burritos made with a "tortilla" of a collard leaf. The salads and fresh juices are excellent, and if you're a vegetarian, grappling with food allergies, or simply trying to recover from a deadening weekend of whiskey and junk food, Ecopolitan is the place for you.

One of the best post-holiday eats! Those who go often are privy to the well-guarded secret that uncooked food can still be quite satisfying even if it's not going to inspire a lifestyle change.

The chili cheese burrito is fantastic but then again everything here is! finish off your meal with some cashew cheesecake!

Don't order the spicy Thai noodles. the best choices are the falafel wrap, taco salad, Ecoburger or notcho plate.

  • Portlandia on 07/26/11
