City Pages' Description

Café Maude debuted in 2007 with a simple idea: Be as chic as Chanel, as hip as a San Francisco DJ, and as affordable as T.G.I.Friday's. Sound good to you? Yeah, you and everyone else in town. If you do ever get in, some of the highlights you'll find: creative cocktails; a jewel-toned room vibrating with live music or the choices of a live DJ played just loud enough to make you feel like you're at a party, but not too loud for conversation; a good wine list; exciting non-alchoholic drinks (be sure to get any birthday girls the one garnished with a marshmallow peep); a gorgeous cheese plate; modestly priced entrees of wood-fired meats; and French fries served with a cheese fondue sauce for dipping. Reservations are recommended, not for the full-service breakfast and lunch, but for dinner--seriously, dude, they're serving hyper-mega-gourmet cheese fries to people drinking high-octane cocktails and eating budget steaks. This is not your parents' Edina-adjacent Minneapolis; call first.

Tiny restaurant can be difficult to get into - make a reservation! Not great for a large group because it can be loud. Love the small plates - order a few to share with someone special. Nice cocktails and wine.

My new favorite place, great, low-lit atmosphere and mouthwatering food--Hummus flatbread is AWESOME! The live music was PERFECT for this venue, both the Fri and Sat nights I've been there.

Try the cheese plate. My favorite item is the Grilled Halloumi!-They have live music on the weekends ranging from indie-instrumental to world jazz.

Good grub here! Had a bacon and avocado omelet and had to add the house made chorizo, of course!
