Decked out, literally, on a ninth floor pool deck overlooking the Venetian Causeway, this typical Irish pub has two pool tables, tons of televisions, reasonably priced drinks, a piano no one ever plays, and a jukebox packed with some pretty decent tunes. And, whether you're a local or out-of-towner, the friendly staff will treat you like a first-name regular - or Miami Herald employee, known to dwell repeatedly at this dive. But that's not all this unfussy sports bar in the sky offers; its grub is not too shabby either. Take a seat outside (there's an occasional strange odor inside), and order some loaded, fork-worthy nachos supreme ($8.95) topped with chili, jack and cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guacamole or buffalo wings ($7.45 or just order just drumsticks for $8.45) that are so tasty they're ordered often by residents of the building. Mussels ($7.45), blackened-shrimp linguini ($12.95), and fried mahi mahi finger platter ($7.95), which is fried with herbs, are also favorites. And if you swing by Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., you can sample many of the place's appetizers (calamari rings, fried clams, and mozzarella sticks to name just a few) for half the price.
