At more than 50 years old, Midway Food Market is a venerable grocery store with an excellent butcher's counter. They make their own sausage and cut their own steaks. Midway BBQ is a little nook over on one side of the market. There are a couple of booths, but most folks get their smoked meat to go. Pit boss Joaquin Morales barbecues pork ribs, chicken, homemade links, pork butt and brisket over pecan wood. The barbecue is stellar. Skip the commercial potato salad and beans. Plan on making your own sides or buying them elsewhere.
