Description
Coffee and wine are odd bedfellows, but on South Broadway, anything is possible. Michelangelo's offers up a distinctly Italian flair in homage to the land where many citizens are coffee and wine freaks. It's an ultra-relaxed space -- more lounge than bar -- with couches and chilled-out entertainment such as wine tastings and open mikes. Michelangelo's opens early (for the espresso crowd) and closes before other bars on that section of Broadway, but it offers a nice environment for a small plate or panini with a glass of wine -- especially during its daily happy hour. And unlike the decor, the wine selection is not limited to Italy: Michelangelo's offers vintages from across the globe.
