    Though both Minneapolis and St. Paul's "Most Literate Cities" standings slipped in '09, from first and third to third and seventh, respectively, it sure as hell wasn't for lack of commerce.     To a non-resident, the Saint Anthony Park neighborhood doesn't look quite real. It's too picturesque, too quaint, too adorable--like something out of a storybook. And there's no better place to find an actual storybook for comparison than the area's cozy little bookshop, Micawber's. The independent store takes its moniker from a Dickens character, an honest but bumbling glass-half-full type who went to debtor's prison.     David Copperfield's Wilkins Micawber was an eternal optimist who, like Charles Dickens's father, wound up in debtor's prison. He is thus the perfect namesake for an independent bookstore. At this point, to say that these are hard times for indie bookstores is like suggesting that something seems to be amiss with the ozone layer.
