West Kendall Regional Library
Kendall, FL 33196
The West Kendall Regional Library first opened its doors December 10, 1990. Less than two years later, Hurricane Andrew destroyed the branch. The 39,000 square-foot library reopened March 11, 1994, with over 2,000 grateful patrons attending the celebration. The branch now circulates over 60,000 items monthly to a diverse population, including many families. Special features include a large auditorium for programs and special events, computers with Microsoft Word for typing reports and resumes, fifty-four computers to access the library system’s catalog and database collection including access to Internet. The library is conveniently located in the Hammocks Town Shopping Center.
