Miami New Times' Description
The Daily serves a familiar menu of light food, differentiated mostly by the journalistic theme reflected in its playful paperboy logo. Worthy signature sandwiches, almost all named for local and national newspapers, include the very tasty Wall Street Journal (smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, and alfalfa sprouts on thick slices of fresh pumpernickel, with an assertively tingly cucumber/wasabi dressing) and the Miami New Times, one of many vegetarian options. It's also possible to create your own sandwich or salad from a list of several dozen ingredients. And if a panini's not your thing, dinner is also available; taste bud tinglers like hummus and entrees like seared tuna, mac 'n' cheese, to a local favorite, lechon (apps are around $6, entrees range from $6 to $12). Ingredients here are a giant step up from fast-food sandwich chains (which is why it's a bit pricier), especially the impressive fresh breads as well as sauces tasty enough you'll want to remember to ask for extra.
Tips from foursquare
Great spot for lunch, breakfast, or both. They also now are open for dinner too. :)
The Energizer is better than 10 Frappacinos in a row and the Journalist is off the menu but they'll make it if you ask. Goat cheese basil deliciousness!
Shrimp po boy no longer served. Food & service have gone downhill
For all the banana bread lovers out there, come to the daily and eat banana bread like there's no tomorrow
The crab cakes are made on the premises and are yummy. Also the Açai Miracle smoothie with banana and honey is one of the best smoothies around.
