Parrillada Las Vacas Gordas
Miami Beach, FL 33141
Miami New Times's Description
As soon as you hop out of your car in the parking lot next to Las Vacas Gordas (translation: the fat cows), you'll smell the hot grill. For avid carnivores, the Normandy Isle Argentine parrilla offers one-pound servings of red meat along with chitlins, blood sausage, chorizo, and vegetables cooked on the grill. A huge bowl of spicy chimichurri awaits you at the table. Go on â dip your bread in there; you'll be a happy fat cow by the time you leave. La enrollada, a one-pound serving of meat served rolled up on a plate, is quite popular, but try the vacio ($22.99 per pound) or bife de chorizo with a glass of Las Vacas Gordas Malbec, the house wine. And to cut through all of that meaty juice, try a flambéed dulce de leche crêpe.
Tips from foursquare
The highlight of the new menu is the 36-inch skirt steak “La Enrollada” -- so called because its length demands that it be served rolled up.
Service was slow, but nice. Food was excellent, though. Don't come here if you're not a patient person, but the food is waaayyyyy better than the service!
Staff is not very friendly, but if you ever sit down and get your food, it's delish.... Worth the obnoxious attitude
Best Chimichurri in Miami, and try the enrollada #CPL8
The food is great but service is soooo slow! Come with patience, a lot of it!
