Description

Miami New Times' Description

Pacific Time's relocation to the Design District was downright redemptive for Jonathan Eismann and his Pan-Asian/Pacific Rim/and Throw in Some Mediterranean Too cuisine. The cuisine has also been rejuvenated. Winning "small plates" include wood-roasted quail paired with roasted peaches and sweetbreads "buffalo style" with spicy sriracha aioli, blue cheese dressing, and celery sticks. Entrée favorites are two grilled American lamb chops with tart/sweet roasted tomato vinaigrette and "salt and pepper" skate, the wing of stringy white flesh dredged in seasoned flour, lightly pan-sautéed, and spread upon a dollop of parsnip purée and crisp haricot verts. Beverage options include frosty liters of tap water filtered and chilled in-house, homemade nonalcoholic drinks such as ginger-flecked root beer and a virgin mojito, Florida microbrews like Monk in the Trunk Organic Amber Ale, and a well-priced wine list. For dessert, best to stick to Pacific Time's longtime signatures: Key lime baked Alaska, with a marshmallow-mimicked meringue swirled over frozen Key lime pie; and a densely delectable bittersweet chocolate bomb, better than any other in town.

Best seafood + service in the Design District. Or try Duck two ways.
