Miami New Times' Description

One of the best elements of living in a tropical paradise is the jaw-dropping flora and fauna all around us. Take the birds, for instance. There are more than 400 species of such in the Keys alone, from pelicans to hawks to turkey vultures. And at Laura Quinn's Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center in Tavernier, you can see most all of 'em. This nonprofit rescue facility has been nursing native and migratory birds back to health for 40 years and counting. They're donation based, so think about dropping a dime or two to support their efforts.

This is a must see stop when you visit this area. This was a great place to see local birds. It was clean and well maintained. The admission is free but please leave a donation so that it remains free
