Miami New Times's Description
Miami's Mexican options offer a little too much Chipotle and Taco Bell, and not quite enough homemade guac and corn tortillas. But head towards Homestead, and there's a plethora of south of the border favorites that are better than the fast food standbys. In addition to serving up fresh, authentic Mexican eats, Homestead's El Santo Coyote is a gallery of sorts for Spanish-style, hand-painted pottery. Snap up carnitas, chicken, steak, tongue and tripe (small intestine) tacos - or indulge in guacamole made tableside by friendly staffers. Get a gander at the aesthetically appealing decor, and enjoy an afternoon away from fast-paced city living.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever visited in the world. Here is what happened to me. After about 10 minutes of waiting for our menu's, they finally arrived. 2 mins passed and my waiter finally asked what I wanted to drink. Another 10 mins passed and the waiter finally took my order. When the drinks arrived they landed on my lap, along with another tables alcoholic beverages, soaking my pants, socks, shoes and seat. Dont mind the liquid on the floor which after about 17 minutes was mopped up with an already wet mop, leaving the floor still wet. Instead of using a dry mop, another wet mop was used. Thank goodness an older person didnt fall and break a hip. The food came and went. When I got my check, it was for the total amount. I asked why I was being charged for the full rate when my pants were still soaked from the drinks and the response was 'because'. After a few minutes of listening to some lame excuse of why the drinks were spilled, and ensuring them the $$ amount was not the issue, but the principle of common sense and courtesy, they took 30% and a drink off my bill. Needless to say, we will never visit this place again. You shouldn't either.

Frozen margarita. Do it!
Great Mexican food in the area! 😃
Haven't been back since Nov. 2012 and let me tell you that a lot of changes were made! Way better service the food is awesome and the whole ambiance make you feel like you are in Mexico. A must!
WAS great, but new changes have made this place horrible as of today. Don't go for another few weeks until they get their shit straight.
