This is Jehangir Mehta's follow-up to Graffiti, located on the ground floor of the Duane Street Hotel. Small plates keep company with larger, main dish portions on the menu, and eclectic influences fly--you might eat simple shrimp kabobs seasoned with Indian kalonji seeds, or slurp oysters encrusted with pop rocks. The lamb shank in an aromatic, sweetish masala paste is a good choice, as is the coarsely chopped beef tartare with avocado sorbet.
