Medjool's three-tiered layout has something for just about everyone. At ground level there's a happenin', hipsteriffic dancefloor and wine and tapas bar serving bastilla, couscous, risotto, cassoulet, and other Mediterranean specialties. The choices up top are considerably reduced from what you can command in the downstairs restaurant or cafe -- essentially just some mezes (hummus, tabouleh, baba ghanouj), salad, and skewered meats and shrimp -- but the airy rooftop aerie above Medjool is delightful, whether it's a warm summery evening or a cool fall one (heaters on). The view is surprisingly long, given that you're only on the fifth floor, and the city looks beautiful. You can sip wine, beer, or well-made cocktails... More »
