McLoughlin's Restaurant & Bar is the middle food-and-beverage brainchild from the McLoughlin brothers, Jim and Frank, native Dubliners who also own the Irish Snug and Slattery's Irish Pub. McLoughlin's serves up modern American food for lunch and dinner and brunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as plenty of pub potables for a festive night out in a casual, family-friendly, upscale atmosphere. The menu is classic, with recognizable fare like fish and chips, meatloaf and shepherd's pie, and the desserts are positively sinful: fresh raspberries slathered with chocolate mousse, a warm brownie topped with Guinness ice cream and laced with chocolate syrup. McLoughlin's may be the owners' middle child, but it has its own personality and a prime location by Riverfront Park.
