  • Patio/Sidewalk Dining
Description

Dining during the daytime and dancing at night is the raison d'être behind this two-story Peoria party palace, which tends to be busy with activity around the clock. Located within pitching distance from the Peoria Sports Complex, sports junkies and spring training fans congregate for pre-game drinks or post-game noshes as ginormous HDTVs are tuned to every game imaginable. Off-track betting windows are available to those who wanna play the ponies, and arcade games offer numerous chances to test one's mettle. After 9 p.m., however, the dining tables are moved aside as the place becomes more of a danceteria, where DJs spinning Top 40 mixes, hip-hop mash-ups, and hot tracks aplenty. Both levels are crowded with clubgoers and revelers swaying to the beat as waitresses dodge bodies to serve premium drinks and provide bottle service to those willing to drop some dime.

  • 2004 | BEST BEER SELECTION

To borrow a line from John Belushi in Animal House, now that Arizona has gotten off its keister and extended the drinking cutoff until 2 a.m., we advise you to start drinking heavily. And there's no better place to start drinking heavily than at McDuffy's Wide World of Entertainment in Peoria, which has 21 different beers on tap and at least the same number in bottles. This sleek, 13,000-square-foot sports bar is jam-packed with large-screen TVs tuned to all of your favorite athletic... More »

For the first time in my life, I'm wishing that I adored baseball. Specifically, baseball as played by two teams: the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners. Because then I could be as excited as the rest of the world seems to be over the new, ... More »
