The best downtown happy-hour food is to be found in the bar here from 4:00 to 6:30 in the afternoon Mondays through Sundays, and late night from 9:00 to 10:00 Mondays through Thursday or Saturday to Sunday 10:00-11:00, for that's when you'll get an affordable and luscious pan of mussels or a full-size cheeseburger with fries. Factor in that the scratch-bar squeezes a mean greyhound, and the soda all comes in dear little bottles, and you're unlikely to want to drink after work anywhere else. Speaking of bars, the oyster bar here is another force to be reckoned with, particularly for those seeking bargain bivalves. Still, look further afield for your more formal dining concerns, for M&S's kitchen doesn't meet the quality of the bar.
