Despite a fresh, rotating seasonal fish menu, this old-school seafood house is actually best-known for its happy hour, with a seemingly endless lineup of cheap apps and drink specials. After you're done grazing at the bar, the main courses rarely disappoint. One of CityPlace's most dependable eateries, getting its fish from all the right places, McCormick & Shmick's looks to be a big date place. Crab bisque with tawny port reduction is a nice place to start, gingery Chilean sea bass with udon noodles is a bicultural winner, and the filet mignon gets a double nod (pretty tasty cow for a fish place!). Still, that happy-hour spread, with the fish tacos, the cheap cheeseburgers, the mussels, and the catfish fingers, makes for a nice way to spend an afternoon.
