Maya advertises itself as an Argentine and tapas restaurant, but the extensive three-page menu lists hummus ($7.95), gazpacho ($4.95), Moroccan semi-boneless half chicken ($17.95), and cheese risotto ($18.95), among other items. As expected from an Argentine restaurant, there is a selection of steaks and chops, including signatures such as asado ($24.95), skirt steak ($21.95), and filet mignon ($32.95). All come with a choice of sauces. Sides such as truffle mash ($5.95) and grilled tomato and ricotta salad ($7.95) are available à la carte. Located near Lenox Avenue on the west end of Lincoln Road Mall, the place offers no indoor seating, and servers, although friendly, work hard to dodge pedestrians.
