Part of a chain that began in New York City, this family-friendly Italian is tucked into a Publix plaza across from the beach. Traditional Italian fare is dished up by professional servers in an open dining room. Zuppa di clams, fried zucchini, fried calamari, stuffed artichokes, and a colossal shrimp cocktail are offered as starters. A large list of create-your-own pastas includes diner's choice of noodles, including whole-wheat pastas, with 16 different preparations, including marinara, Alfredo, alla vodka with prosciutto, with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes, and with meatballs and sausage or fresh seafood. A number of veal and chicken dishes round out the meats list; there's also a wide selection of seafood, including shrimp scampi, shrimp Luciano (over spinach), and live Maine lobster prepared to order. A special "light and healthy" menu has low-carb choices such as a linguine made from fresh zucchini, a grilled chicken or veal chop paillard, and a chicken Mona (grilled chicken over sautéed escarole and beans). A number of martinis are on the drinks specials, and the wine list features solid Italian selections.
