Making plans for the night and you want sushi, but you want cocktails, too? You should head here. The food is a Japanese/Mexican fusion that makes for interesting flavors. The fish is fresh enough, but the kitchen doesn't want anything on the menu that doesn't have a silly name (The Crazy Courtney Roll or You're Hot, I'm Scot, for example) or half a dozen superfluous ingredients. A wide selection of sake is available, naturally, and the sake bombs are good, including an inventive one with cider. On weekends, Mas Sake has a fun, upbeat, club-type atmosphere: the lights are low, the DJ is spinning, the drinks are flowing, and the crowd tends to be a bit more dressed-up. Sometimes spontaneous dancing happens. The wait staff is oh-so-easy on the eyes, but the restrooms are small, so plan accordingly.
