On weekday afternoons, a young after-work crowd comes to the Mars Bar & Restaurant looking to get drunk and load up on starchy American food. On weekend nights, house music fans come to the Mars Bar looking to hear some casual DJ beats. At all times, however, people come to the Mars Bar for its small back patio, whose vaguely tropical setting is one of the few places to sip a cocktail outdoors in SOMA. And if the food and music aren't your thing, there's also a pool table for a few games of 8 ball.
