The concept from Andrew Tarlow and Mark Firth (of Bonita and Diner, next door): European grocery store/bar where one stops in for a boiled egg and a bottle of wine to bring home. Marlow & Sons is casual and neighborhoody, but more of a destination than that, with a small, slightly too cute grocery in front (organic produce, imported dry goods, the paper, bar and tables in back. It's extremely dark, but luckily there's not much of a menu to read. They offer two oysters every day-representing East and West coasts, a small selection of cured meats, cheeses, vegetables, and fish, and a short wine list.
