Description

Manzo ("beef" in Italian) is a strange bird. The restaurant is located in Eataly, and if you don"t know what that is, you must have been sleeping in Madison Square Park like Rip Van Winkle. While Manzo is one of many eateries in the shopping complex, it"s by far the most ambitious, centered on a certain breed of Italian beef now being produced in Montana. Sure, there are carpaccios, steaks, and oxtails, but also such unusual offerings as boiled brisket with salsa verde (every bit as good as examples we"ve had in Florence), a thrillingly soft veal tongue salad, and a veal chop so large you could beat someone with it. Better just to eat it.
