Description

This is the second location of Sam and Vinnie Virasin's casual East meets West sibling of their more-upscale Chow Thai restaurants. Here, customers will find the traditional tom yum soup, curries, fried rice and noodle dishes, such as the requisite crowd-pleasing pad Thai. Nothing is particularly exotic, but if doubt overwhelms the palate, the staff is knowledgeable and will gladly and attentively assist you in choosing your meal. Among the starters are crab avocado spring rolls and the sampler plate, which offers a hodgepodge of house specialties. The entrée menu is modest in length. It includes ginger sea bass over jasmine rice, panang and beef with chiles and mint. Diners rave about the tempura mango ice cream, for which the ice cream is wrapped with tempura-battered pound cake.
