Malena's can't be beat for after-work takeout. It's not as showy as some of the more ambitious Ballard restaurants, but its tidy ivory curtains, silk flowers, and friendly service make it the neighborhood darling of frenzied families, newspaper-reading singles, and hungry skate punks.
