Not affiliated with the other Maharajas around town, this one boasts a recently remodeled bar (it used to be a dive, but not anymore!) and one of the city's best bartenders, Don Bogey. With television sets in every corner of the room, the Maha is like a sports bar without the crappy fried stuff and flat Bud Light. Instead, you get high-quality Indian food and Taj Mahal bottles. Score!
We ordered the Spinach Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Bhindi Masala (okra), and Basmati Rice. Since we are originally from the South, where okra is a staple, we were a bit skeptical as to whether or not we should give it a try at an Indian restaurant. But we did, and let me tell you it was wonderful! The spinach naan and chicken tikka masala were also very flavorful and satisfying.
