Opened in 1974 by an Irish-immigrant couple, Teddy and Maggie Whelan, Maggie's Place has since been taken over by the couple's two sons. An unusual homey Irish pub smack in the middle of Midtown, Maggie's Place offers perfectly-poured Guinness, and 14 beers on draft and more by the bottle. The dinner and lunch menus offers pub fare and a cut above: entrees like rack of lamb, tuna steak, and homemade pies.
