I went to this show last sunday not knowing that much about janis Joplin except for her singing and I simply LOVED it. I laughed and cried and had no expectations. I thought it was very deep and very funny. Sophie is a spirit not trying to be Joplin but coming back to tell us some antidotes about her life and her perceptions now verses then. It told me about history and about Joplins need to be loved and what she went through. Frankly it made me feel compassionate about her. i am sick of jaded reviewers.
