    If you're looking for a temperate night out or insist you just want to "drink socially," for the love of Christ and sobriety stay away from Liquor Lyle's. It's impossible to spend more than 20 minutes in this Lowry Hill dive bar and not get completely wrecked, thanks to the seemingly continuous drink specials that damn near render happy hours the rule rather than the exception. The first one starts at 10 a.m. (till 1 p.m.), followed by another one from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a final one thrown in from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. That amounts to eight glorious hours of two-for-one deals on all drinks, including top-shelf hooch. And the cocktails are poured stiffer than the bouncer's upper lip. So next time you want to wreak havoc on your liver but keep your wallet intact, park your ass in one the red-vinyl booths and commence the shitshow. Just don't plan on driving home.

    Good, long happy hours. They have pool tables and a decent jukebox. Ooh, also pinball.
